Telford-based web design company Yellow Marshmallow, has been set by local website designer and developer Lee Stewart with the purpose of providing local businesses and individuals with beautifully designed, affordable and effective websites as well as online marketing services such as search engine optimisation and pay per click advertising.

Lee, founder of YellowMarshmallow.co.uk, started the company with the aim of transforming the way local businesses portrayed themselves online.

"Yellow Marshmallow is the collaboration of both eye-catching, awe-inspiring design and functional website development. We wanted to be able to offer people an exciting new way of advertising their business, outside of the normal generic website layouts you see online. We try to create eye-catching designs using the latest technologies that really intrigue the user to explore and engage."

The exciting new start-up was also recently backed by the Start-up Loans Company via Young Britain, which enabled Lee to make his dreams of running his own company a reality.

The success story doesn't stop there as Yellow Marshmallow were recently nominated for an award from the world's largest web design awarding body, the aWWWards.

The company received an Honourable Mention for their modern and intuitive design which cemented them a prestigious place on the awwwards.com website and opened the gates to their first international clients in Austin, Texas.

Yellow Marshmallow has also shown its ability to move with the times and ever-changing technologies.

Lee added: "Technology changes so quickly these days, we try to stay up-to-date with the latest design and coding techniques available to us so we can keep a step ahead of the competition. We currently build all of our websites responsive as standard, which basically means that they resize and move around to fit whatever size screen it's viewed on. With so many users browsing the internet on mobile devices it makes sense to build sites that look perfect at any screen size."

"We also wanted to keep things simple for our customers, for a lot of people the idea of websites and internet technology can be quite a daunting thought. We try to keep our geeky techno-jargon to a minimum as well as setting our prices as simple one-off packages with no hidden costs."

The company is also keen to help start-up businesses like themselves get off the ground.

"Being a start-up business ourselves, we wanted to offer assistance to other new companies that required web services. We put together a Start-up Business package that includes all of the basics from a website and web address to business cards and company branding. We essentially took a selection of our best services and combined them into one awesome package, and then we knocked 33% off the price to help make it as affordable as possible."
